About Holly Resendiz

Hi, my name is Holly Resendiz.  I have more than 20 years of experience training clients to better their fitness and function.  I have a bachelors of Science in Health & Fitness from Walla Walla University and I continually research and develop programs on posture and movement.

I worked as Personal Trainer both in health clubs and private studios before becoming a Pilates instructor.  After several car accidents and sports-related injuries, I struggled to continue my previous physical activities.  Talk about frustrating, especially for a fitness trainer!   That’s when my Chiropractor recommended Pilates.

I was surprised to discover Pilates was much more than I ever realized.  It’s not just abdominal work like most “Pilates classes” at the gym had toted.  It is a whole method of progressively and gently strengthening your entire body, using mat work to equipment and apparatus.   It was exactly what I was looking for.

After training intensively at Core Conditioning Studio with Master Instructor Crystal McCabe, I opened my own private practice in Des Moines Washington in 2008.  I now teach clients how to establish awareness, strength and control of deep core muscles so that they can utilize it in every aspect of their life.

About PLS Fitness:

PLS is short for Positive Life Solutions.  When I was in college I spent a lot of time figuring out what my passion and purpose was.  This name came out of that process and remains my mission statement to this day.
